Most of the f type coupes i have seen seem to be either white, red or firesand.

All these colours look stunning....but has anyone gone for something different or do these 3 colours show
off the lines of the coupe to the best.

cheers steve

Best colour is Salsa Red, followed by Satellite Grey. The golden rule is to look at the brochure and see what colours they have used? Highly paid people make these decisions. White also looks pretty good.

This is my Salsa at handover, in the background is a Black R, it looks very plain in comparison.I'd like to see it in silver as it looks good in the brochure, but I'm very happy with my choice of red.

I'd personally agree that white, red and firesand suit the car best. If you're going to by a car like the F you need a bright colour! I've also seen them in grey, black and BRG and didn't much like any of them, too restrained for a car this shouty and didn't show off the lines as well as the brighter colours. Although I do think of the dark colours the navy looks quite classy. I've ordered white with pan roof, should be here in the next 2 weeks hopefully.

I'm not a fan of white or red normally, but they look bloody good on the FTC

Never been a fan of white on cars, but it's the colour I think of when I imagen a F coup, BR green looks great on the car too.

Question, what about interior colours? What are people going for, what works and what doesn't?

Mines just plain old black, bit boring I know, I did get red seat belts and carbon fibre console finishers though biggrin Money no object I'd get the performance seats with the alcantara inserts and alcantara headlining.

The lovely pics above prove that salsa red is the best colour!

I had the XKR in the dealership today for an air con fault and while there I studied the white R in the showroom. I concluded that I still dislike white cars ( admittedly it looked great because its an F Type though ) and I'm not sure that I like the panoramic roof. To my eyes the car has more of a timeless and classic beauty with the standard roof. Am I alone?

Anyhow, each to their own. They look wonderful whatever the spec.

I'm changing my car soon but probably into a nearly new 991 - a new F Type R will cost me around 100k to my spec and yet it will loose a fortune in the 1st year because spending lots on extras is never a wise financial move.....

Please could somebody buy a fully spec'd (everything that my XKR has) F Type R in salsa red? I promise to buy it from you in 12 months time for £70k wink

How loud is the V8 on start up?

I've currently got a V8 Vantage but tempted by an F Type.

Worried about my neighbours! hehe

Is the coupe the same as the roadster sound wise, or has there been any changes to the exhaust?
