Funny that Rita and Jenny haven't bumped into each other....in fact, come to think of it, she's not been in the Kabin for a few weeks....perhaps she's at th'olesalers....
You've not been keeping up have you? She went off to visit Mavis about a fortnight ago.Anyhow, it given me chance to say.... th'olesalers..
Here's some vintage Jenny...

Tracy to the PC "I've been trying to get him to upgrade his package for ages."
Surely when the PC stopped their van it would have been standard procedure to ask "D'you mind if we look in the back of the van, sir?"
Tony's treatment of Tracy is getting too risky. He's on thin ice now - how long before she squeals?
(Craig's face as he watched the childbirth video!! So true to life. )

The copper said "What have you got in the back of the van?"Tony:- "Just a few tools and a couple of bags of cement"
"OK, then, on your way".........
Things I love about Corrie.
When the Platts were having breakfast, David's watch read 7.40am. (I admit they could have been filming at 7.40pm but that seems a bit unlikely).
When Sophie and Sally were watching the telly, they said "I didn't think it would be him. Me neither." A reference to the real world? (Who else is getting cheesed off with the whole thing - it's all you see in the papers.)
Norris' first wife was Myrtle Hargreaves - " She seduced me with her milk puddings." (Must have looked like Eva then.)
Best of all - Maddie's dream - Annie Lennox calling at her home to ask for her watering-can back. It was in the loft. She threatened Maddie with killer bees in her rucksack. What was the script-writer smoking at the time????

Nice to see Steve back on form - his interaction/repartee with Michelle was top class last night. Let's hope the writers keep this up - the "down" Steve is a bore.
I was wondering about a couple of things in the present storylines which don't ring true (yes, yes, I know it's a soap). Surely by now Anna would have noticed Fay's bump, and the fact that she hasn't needed tampons for some time. And why no more talk of the bus crash? These are working-class people on the whole - compo is a way of life. There would be solicitors' letters flying round for months afterwards, yet we hear not a peep. And I want to see Lloyd's face when the next Streetcars insurance renewal comes through the letterbox.
(OT - although like most people I'm bored with the meerkats, I noticed the newspaper that Alexandr was reading had an article on the reverse "IT assistant loses lottery ticket" in pseudo-Cyrillic. Presumably Sergei. This may have been around for a while, but I hadn't noticed it before. I don't bother with ads or trailers.)

That "Jackson" lad looks a rum 'un.
If you can't be good be careful, and if you can't be careful buy a pram.....
The real "Gavin" looks a proper nasty piece of work, although in some ways I can understand his resentment to his dad Michael, abandoning him....Has the makings of a good storyline.
I don't think I've ever seen the "fake" Gavin without a worried look on his face....
Lighten up lad...

Sorry to be a pedantic old fart but the bistros takings for one night in cash does not look like a brick, yes it's handy for the story but taking us for mugs grates
I agree - that sort of eatery would attract mainly clientele who pay by card. I would think the amount of cash they took would be quite small, and probably used to pay suppliers and part-time staff.I actually expected the money not to be there when "Gavin" returned to the flat. I thought maybe the script would have Callum find it whilst he was waiting for Katy, thus having a wad on him in the Rovers. And thereby compounding "Gavin"s dilemma.
The hen party was excellent - the director had the ladies slowly getting more stupid as the night wore on. Good banter. So is Eileen sacked, or not?
