A bunch of lowlifes managed to close down whole streets in Greater Manchester to hold the "race", without the authorities noticing?

Is trying to kill your opponent by swerving all over the road a legit tactic in street racing then? I must have missed the part where Brian Earl Spilner (sounds like a serial killer name) tries to shunt Dominic Turretto off the road in F&F

Why doesn't Luke just go to the police over the blackmail attempt, (they could record his "threats" somehow for proof).

He would be sent down for a couple of years at least. judge

(Well maybe a couple of weeks)

People always say that the Clio 182's had good handling, clearly BS after seeing the street race biggrin

Someone good with photoshop needs to do a poster for that.

I do think this has to be one of the most ludicrous storylines. Of all the thing to blackmail someone to do, race a car?

On another note, I am sure I misheard it but it does sound like Eva told Leanne that people can 'mind their own fking business' while chatting about the devil child.

Rob and Leanne action presumably imminent? Busy girl , our Leanne , if not yet in Ken's league of conquests ...

Re the car nonsense- the plot had Maria(aka 'didn't she used to be in the Street ?') giving the Clio to matey as a trackday car (I had assumed). This angle seems to have evaporated.

I agree that the street racing blackmail story is utterly ridiculous. Firstly, if they are all so concerned about the street racing, just let Mr Blowdry post the naughty pictures. It's not that much of a big deal, it is? It's a crime now so there will definitely be some major consequences for the perp.

Secondly, JUST GO TO THE POLICE, NOW. It would all be over within 24 hours and Luke could take his Clio to Silverstone rather than Salford.

Thirdly, why are they hiding it from Andy? Surely he would appreciate that Stef has had boyfriends before him and might even have been naked with them. It's all getting a bit much for me now.

Having said that, the Simon 'Raging Bull' Barlow story is starting to get good. Tracy getting what she deserved last night was a nice moment.

This "car" plot is one of the silliest storyline the writers have ever come up with, it just does not make sense.....as unbelievable as Alf and Audrey Roberts or Beth and Kirky getting it togethersmile

Still, it's only light entertainment I suppose.

At the last count, Ken has had 27 girlfriends, including Joanna (Elaine Perkins) Lumley....seen here in 1975...he isn't known as the stud of the street for nothing....

Sad to see Eileen Derbyshire has called it a day. I know it's supposed to be a "break" but at her age I reckon it's cheerio.

One of the tabloids did a good double-page spread showing her main storylines over the years, and it brought back many memories. I'd completely forgotten that she had a fling with an Eastern European in her younger days. Her character portrayed a splendid example of what appeared on the face of it, to be a stuffy and prim old God-botherer, but underneath was an open-minded and rather liberal individual willing to tolerate modern ideas and values.

Meanwhile.....I can understand Robert (first class thespian) seeing through Tracy and her ways, but the tilt towards Leanne was a bit sudden. Or have we read the situation incorrectly?

Agreed, she will be missed, but I find it equally sad when you see the likes of Betty Turpin who die whilst still working.
They earn a shed load of money, doing long hours, and never get a chance to retire and enjoy it.
