Wow! Some real venom directed at sales reps - not entirely all without justification, in fairness.
I think you'll find that most of the venom is coming from proper sales people who don't appreciate being tarred with the same brush as these idiots.

It depends whether you're selling official toner or aftermarket toner cartridges.

Just burst a small bag of water in your pocket and say that's all there was. Who's going to test it? 10 minutes under the hand drier and you're clean away with some prick's £££s.

ETA, I'm an engineer, sales will no doubt actually piss themselves..

Poppycock!!!

I've worked in sales for the last 20 years and not once have I seen someone do anything like this. I guess the difference comes down to my good fortune of working in professional sales and not "wide boy, awright geezer" sales. The people who cock about like that wouldn't last 2 minutes in a professional sales organisation.

If one of my sales guys pissed himself in a sales meeting for a bet, he'd be looking for a new before the last drips have been shaken off.
Wow, arrogance much?
What, to think you could deliberately piss yourself in a meeting at work and assume you'd still have a job at the end of it? I'd say that's a pretty good description of arrogance, yes.

Being grateful for not having ever had to work with such utter bellends, on the other hand? I don't see that as arrogant at all.
Absolutely this. I've worked in proper sales, and the people involved are not wide boy aaavin' a laaarff maaate piss themselves for a dare types.

They wouldn't generally get through the door and the odd one that did went back to flogging mobile phones on the high street pretty quickly.
Another +1 here working in a professional sales environment. This is utterly cretinous. And wouldn't be around longer than 30 seconds before he was fired.

Wolf of Wall street this is not.

So today's the day. Are we going to get live updates from the meeting? Photos?

ETA: I'm not actually sure I want to see photos...

Glad that idiots like this don't work at my place.

I'm sure that pranks happen, but this will:
disrupt the meeting and cost the business money
mean that someone has to clear up his mess
mean that he profits at work from being an idiot
ruin his reputation in this and other companies

Has he not thought of the consequences when people post this on facebook, the dailymail get involved and show what an idiot he has been.....

I'm struggling to believe there was anything truthful posted here. Simply no way someone destroys their reputation, loses their job and makes themselves unemployable for £800

Well, he did it! Although it didn’t quite go according to the well-laid plans.

It was all quite amusing because he came in this morning, nicely attired – dark grey suit, shirt and tie although not his ’best’ shoes. The meeting was scheduled to start at 11:00 and after filling himself with water, he was bursting to go ages before then and he had to finally go for a pee some time before the start.

Although he’s been full of bravado in the last few days, he seemed a bit tense and edgy during the morning and I thought he was having second thoughts but he was adamant he was going to go through with it.
He said he was dying to go again just before they went into the conference room and I must admit I was feeling a bit apprehensive on his behalf. The majority of the sales staff went into the meeting although a good few of us were still outside and so we had to wait to find out what had happened.

Apparently, soon after everyone had gathered, they were split up into small focus groups which no-one had been anticipating and that caused our lad a real problem, because he couldn’t do it whilst sitting in a small group and therefore very exposed. So he waited. Some of the others reckoned that when they all reconvened as a big group again, he was making faces which suggested he was seriously desperate.

It turned out that he couldn’t bring himself to interrupt proceedings to give the signal by asking when they were going to have a break, in front of everyone, and also he found that he just couldn’t ‘go’ whilst he was sitting down, no matter how bad it got. And I guess it must have got extremely bad indeed because finally he stood up and went to walk to the exit, prompting the speaker to ask where he was going.

He said he had to go to the toilet and as he got to the door he stopped for a moment, started to go in his pants and began to wet himself.

Of course, his colleagues knew what was happening although remarkably it seemed, no-one else noticed at that moment and he got outside the door, still doing it. He managed to get himself to the toilet and had peed all down his trouser leg by then, although he was in there for ages.

Here’s the amusing bit – he absolutely begged the guy who was going to take him home to get cleaned up, to take him there and then, before the main meeting ended and he was so insistent that he got his lift and disappeared home.

It seems that several others in the conference room saw the wetness on the carpet by the doors and in the corridor when the meeting ended and so rumours are abounding this evening, I’d imagine.

Guess what? Our lad called in and booked the afternoon off as annual leave!

Will he be back in tomorrow, I wonder?

And … will he get his money?
