Live on a single track lane on the outskirts of Chesham, between the town and Bovingdon (near Chesham prep if you know the area). Friday night a car was seen (blue Nissan Almera on 02 plate) parked by a mate's (house away from the road) and the chap was out and away from his car. When questioned chap said his lights were not working - then popped the bonnet and started poking about. Mate suggested he move on and thinks the guy was just about to refuse when his dogs kicked off and the bloke scarpered. Mate has a log cabin for his kids which was subsequently robbed over the weekend (big screen TV, xbox, guitars, stereos etc). The two incidents may not be related - especially as the Nissan guy didn't seem worried about confrontation.

Also another house on the lane was burgled last bank holiday Monday - middle of the day, kicked the door in. Tenanted, not been in long (nice house) - don't know the detail.

I've just moved our pot of car keys etc to the unit near where the dog sleeps - rather than the first flat place after you walk in the house (my dog looks the part but is old and deaf!).

Anyone local keep them peeled and make sure your belongings are safe.

Thanks for the Heads up Nick

A few of us live on the Botley Rd .If its a light blue Nissan Almera then I've seen it around LeyHill a few times. I think its local.

Just an update. They've nicked the gang responsible. Estimated 30 burglaries locally having travelled from Manchester area. MO seems to be outbuildings away from houses near hedges/fences. Insurance paid out to my friend and new security precautions now in place.
