Hi
No its not ians car.
The 69 car was a early racer, gone through many mods, even to 935 and back again, both cars can be found on the www.coys.co.uk under 6th dec auction list.

Its just scary what cars are supposidly coming out of the wood work at the moment ,or original barn finds! etc.If the car has to go to auction, its normaly for a reason!

Having been offered a 911st chassis plate & production number, and then a car built to original spec, for original ex factory racer money(£165).It would also be registered with the fia with history, hows that work!
Seems like we are heading towards the 80,s with cloanes etc

the 69s was featured in classic and sportscars this month dressed as a RSR but with wide 935 front arches it was supposed to be a well known car with a good period history( Le Mans, a class win in the Nurburgring 1000k) so I was surprised by the estimate it looked a good value buy into a period competition car I know it sold but the chap I spoke to this morning was unsure how much for. You mentioned PS was it one of Dirks cars?
The photo of the RSR looks like it is outside the PS yard

the 911 rsr is pictured at ps,i think it was restored /built at ps.Just very wary of these cars,as lots of people have had there fingers burnt in the past.A good rsr with authentic /undistbutable history is fetching between £250 & 300 +
The gt2 at lovetts, mathew there is calling me tommorow on the car,i beleave it to be a rhd silver car.
They did sell 2 silver cars when new,and have still been going there for service etc
The one silver car has had some considerable money spent on it,to get it back up to scratch,ie new wheels, stone chips etc.It will be interesting to see what they have the car up for in £
I will let you know when i know more, would say if its a good price and history to snap it up

A mate of mine has just bought the black 993 GT2 from Camtune.

Looks good, sounds good -very understated, and yes, he does know it's been re-shelled.

Melv, this wouldn't be "E.C." by any chance would it?
If so i expect he will keep this for some time.

Have you read the normal crap on the 993gt2 in gt mag.
Colour was changed because the prev owner did not like it!
Wild beast! Not to be driven in anything but dry roads!
Only 12 rhd ever to leave the factory gates, hmmmm
They got one bit right,
The 993 gt2 is one of the most exhilarating, thrilling, scary and rewarding driving experiences you can have !
Best bit
996 gt2 shares the name, but could not be further removed from its name sake the 993 gt2.The 996 gt2 feels to heavy, unwieldy ,and just a little too inert!!

It's funny how things change.

People forget that the reason there's only a handful of 993 GT2s is because no-one wanted to buy them when they were new and the magazines gave poor reviews for the car. Now of course the limited supply makes it highly sought afer........

I'm not knocking the car as it's a great car, just making an observation.

Strange that,i could not get one new ,as they had all sold out,all 95/96, 13 uk rhd cars sold!(there were more than 12 rhd cars made for the world production).
All 97/98 evo cars sold out as well(this is the street versions i am refering to)
The other point most people miss out is,the few numbers are because ,that was all that was required for homoligation for Gt racing,as a genuine light weight racer for the road.
After all ,we do not want weisach to turn out mass produced cars ,we like them to stay special!
I am sure you are not knocking the 993!Also saying that ,the 996 is a very capable car,and may get a cult following one day as well.

Nope -it's 'EB'.

He's had so many Porkers over the last few years I'm considering getting the following sticker made up for him for Xmas:

"A Porsche is for Life, not just for Christmas"
