Nice track car option. Just drive the nuts off it and not worry about future values etc etc

If that checks out someone is going to get a hell of a car for that money.

Now been changed to Cat C. Saw this earlier and thought it was a scam since it appeared very cheap. Anyone know the car ?

HUGE difference

Cat C is a seriously damaged car. Near write off.

It's a cat c with very little history and no evidence of who repaired it. Might still be a good buy but it's interesting the seller changed the category following a HPI check by a potential buyer.

Spoke to the owner and what he said pretty much checks out with the previous threads on here. Granted it's seen some action but I think it's worth a look.

I know the car and the owner. He has been at the Fairmile meets with it.I also know the guy who the current owner bought it off. its a good car and well worth the money. This must be a last resort sale as I know he really wanted to keep it.I know he knew it was on the list as damaged, maybe he did not realise what coding it was given.

Real world differences between cat D and C?
For 22k it's still road legal and great track car
A cat D car is substantial repair cost but can be a surprisingly low amount relative to the value of the car.

Cat C is very substantially damaged beyond economic repair. Its advisory whether its put back on the road at all. There are degrees of damage within these but if its Cat C its had a bug knock.

Im not knocking it for what it represents and the likely cost to the buyer but are the seats from a 997 gt3? also again without being rude its unoriginal wheels ( where are the originals) and things like mirrors let it down visually. That said it depends what you want it for. Its never going to be a collectors car but it could still be a great car to drive and own with no consideration to future value.

Cat D can be thrown straight back in the road. Cat C has to have an inspection first.
