I have just bought a 2006 2.8 93 Aero Convertible with 19" BBS alloys

I have a personalised registration that I want to put on but wondered what
the existing BB55 AAB "BBS SAAB" registration is worth?

I noticed BA55 AAB "BAS SAAB" is for sale on DVLA Website for £795

What do you think?

Thanks
Trickie

Ha ha, Bought a new Saab9-3 Tid back in 2001 when I had a few quid. Managed to get S44BTD for it at £250. Sold it on the car three years later as part of the deal.

Since selling my 9-5 Aero almost 8 years ago, I've had "S4AB J" on retention. Should really do something with it! Taking into account the retention renewals, it's worth about zero in real terms if I sold it now.

Hi Jonathan

That's a good reg and should be worth a bit

Unfortunately, like mine, it is also illegally spaced and can get you a £100 fine now!!!

That is why I haven't kept it on - even though it does look really good

If I find a good place to sell it - I will let you know

Cheers

I've got ''SAA 9T'' sitting on retention since my c900 died of rust.

Kinda hope to get it onto the 99 sometime soon..

Alas I do not have my Saab 9000 2.3 turbo on the road and might not be able to afford to run another Saab. I had a gas conversion ready to fit to it from another Saab 9000 2.3 turbo that developed an ignition problem and my Saab repairman could not identify the cause of the problem and therefore could not fix.

As a consequence, I have bought a cheap Ford Fiesta to run around in and on which I have another gas conversion to fit, which should make for cheap motoring.

It was not the reason I bought the Fiesta and was surprised no-one else made an offer for it, but what I noticed first of all (being a Saab enthusiast) was its registration. It is only good for older Saabs, so has to go on a 9000 or 900 most likely.

The registration is; S448 TBO

With only a little imagination that translates to; SAAB T(ur)BO I also have the SAAB Turbo motif from the Saab 9000 I am scrapping. That can go with the registration plate if anyone is interested in making an offer. (Or is the registration not worth anything?)
