Is this exactly the same engine (+turbo) which is used in the Focus? Trying to source a new engine and turbo for a straight swap into my Connect. Not brand new but working in good order. I know things like this are an unknown quantity.

Not wanting to buy an engine and find it's a different configuration.

It will be the same basic engine I would think but the ancilliaries will probably be different, turbo, manifolds etc, I would think the focus would be bigger power output.

There are some ancillary differences, and depending on the build of the engine some internals too.

Later build Lynx engines have a double belt drive with the belt between the crank and fuel pump running internally and bathed in oil where as the earlier engines had a chain. Both then ran the camshaft via a conventional belt from the FIP.

So best to find an old Connect block for ease of fitting?

75 and 90 brake engines from the Connect are the same engine apart from a map. The 110 engine has different turbo, injectors and pistons, as do all tdci engines from all models of 110 and over.
