Really hoping it's a worthy remake.

But if not, there's always the four Dangermouse DVDs I picked up in poundland! wink

Cosgrove Hall made the best stuff, hard to replicate. Shame it ended.
DM and Duckula were both awesome.

Did they also make The Trap Door, or was that some other creative dudes?

So can I! I was grown up by then (well, insofar as I have ever been grown up, which is not much), but I had a kid brother (I still have, although now he is a middle aged dude), so I watched The Trap Door with him and loved it.

One of the last things that the late, great Willie Rushton did before popping his clogs, IIRC.

Terry Scott is indisposed, so who is going to wind themselves up into Penfold? I can't think of someone who could fill those shoes. I tried doing the opposite, thinking who they would pick to make me hate it and never watch; I came up with Ricky Gervais. frown

I don't think the company that will make it give a toss what adults think of it. As long as the adults say "Watch this kids!"

Cwumbs, Chief, good choice! Also, Mummy Pig (Morwenna Banks) is in it.

He'd have the same effect on me. A totally talentless waste of space.
