2014 – The Great British Sportscar
You are invited to join Bristol Motor Club at Castle Combe Circuit on Sunday 27th July for another great Family Day, as part of the Dick Mayo Sprint weekend. In order to attract as many exhibitors as possible, this year’s theme is The Great British Sportscar, so we are hoping that a wide variety of makes and models will support us.

This event is Bristol Motor Club’s opportunity to welcome both motor clubs and members of the public to participate in parade laps of the legendary Castle Combe Circuit that the club created over 60 years ago. To take part the only requirement is to have a sports, GT or touring car of any age or type, as long as it is road registered. It doesn’t even have to be British – all are welcome! There will be three on track sessions, one in the morning and two in the afternoon, held under a pace car to avoid the need for special safety clothing or helmets. Passengers are allowed, so if you’ve got enough room the whole family can experience a few laps of this great circuit. At the bargain price of £14.00 per car (payable in advance) for all three on-track sessions it’s just too good to miss! If you would prefer to display your car or to be a spectator then entry to the event is FREE.

As well as the display cars and track action there will also be competitions for all the family, and if you don’t fancy driving your car around the circuit then bring the family’s bikes instead and cycle around the track at lunchtime. The Tavern restaurant will be open for refreshments throughout the day, so you won’t go hungry. If you’re a car enthusiast this really is a day not to be missed. The only thing which can’t be guaranteed is the weather!

If you want to take part in this event, either for track sessions or just to display your car, then download, print and complete the entry form. Then post it, complete with a cheque for £14.00 if applicable, to me, the Entries Coordinator. It is also possible to pay by BACS – just email me for more details. Please pass on this invitation to anyone else you know who owns a suitable car as it would be great to see them as well. The closing date for entries is Fri 18th July, so post it soon as numbers are limited!

Should you have any specific questions about the event, whether exhibiting or offering to help with the organisation on the day, please don’t hesitate to email me. Otherwise I look forward to receiving your entry form – and to seeing you in July!

With best wishes,

Zoë Tooth
