i've seen lots of threads on optimax - mainly about trading cards - BUT my question is...

is it really max! i'm still using super unleaded as i cant find anything on the pumps or in the blurb that says its high octane!

it appears to be "better" only by giving a cleaner, more efective burn Rather than improving the explosive power of the fuel.

does anyone know?

i can get optimax easier than super but i'm currently making the effort and sticking with OCTANE

If your question is, is Optimax the best unleaded petrol you can put in your tiv, with regards to power?

The answer is YES.

In the words of Kerniki; Nuff said........

Optimax is 98 octane. Normal super unleaded is usually 97 Octane.

From the shell website...

What is the Octane level of Shell Optimax?

Shell Optimax has the highest octane specification of any petrol in the UK. It is greater than 98 Research Octane Number (RON).

I have been using Optimax in my T4 for a whil enow and have noted that the engine is more responsive than the usual unleaded offerings. Hope this helps
