I remember the old show at Culzean, you used to do a lap of the ring, do we get to do a lap of the track at Kames? wink

Is it to replace this then?

http://www.culzeanautoclassica.com/index.html

Promised big things, but never took off sadly.

I will be at Kames, good luck to whoever is organising this!

In reply to the post .No this is not to replace this event .The event in question was run by a friend and fellow X Porsche RO Tony Flint who basically without going into all the in's and out's was treated very badly by the owners of Culzean No more to be said..

In years gone by there was always a car show on the first Sunday in August run by EACC and this is a new venue for them.

No idea on the politics why this fab show ended as it was always a big favourite .So please support them at their new venue and contact the organizer now as entries end on the 12july

Just giving this show a wee bump up the listing .Meet the organizer to day at the Eglington Park show at Irvine .
It is filling up so if you want to attend please contact the organizer asap it is open to all private entrants and car clubs .
If you own a Porsche say you want to be on the Porsche Owners Scotland site that way all the Porsches will be together.
Thanks for your support and don't forget the Porsche In the Glen on Sunday 31st August .See details in the main posting .

Anyone know how much general admission is?

I looked on their site but could only see the price if you were displaying your car.

Cheers Johnny.

Why not lift the phone and ask the question if you intend to go.

Or, as you seem to have started the thread to encourage people to go, maybe just reply with the answer?

I have no problems phoning for prices but as it was late (iirc) when I posted I thought I would ask here. I didn't mean for anyone to go out their way to find out for me. It was just a question incase somebody already knew.

I usually find people on this and other forums I'm on very enthusiastic when it comes to helping others out if they can.

Anyway thanks for finding out and I'll be taking a wee run through.

Johnny.

Hi, the Kames Classic Show will be back bigger and better this year on Sunday 2nd August . We learned a lot running it for the first time in 2014 , in monsoon weather conditions . The format will be similar with individual entries in the tarmac paddocks and the clubs on the infield of the track. There will be a walking speed parade lap of the sprint track as this went down well last year.
We had over 150 cars there on the day, quite a few didn't turn up because of the rain but we're expecting a whole lot more this year! Details will be announced in the spring .
