Is it any good?

Me and Mrs GMan have decided to sky+ the new series of 24 and watch it in a few sittings instead of watching weekly. So we need something to watch in the mean time and I was going to down load this.

Yes it's pretty good. I watched the first two series.

It's really just another American "Without Rule Of Law" wet dream where they get to carry assault rifles all day and there's no authorities telling them what to do.

It's like The Walking Dead, but with aliens. I like them both.

1st Series is very slow and a bit crap to be honest, 2nd is slightly better, 3rd better again.

If you stick with it past the first series you'll enjoy it.

and ignore the fact the noah wylies son constantly does the opposite of what he's been told to do, gets other people killed or captured yet nobobdy kicks the living crap out of him the whole first series.

Had this discussion with a mate on Friday. Unlike Walking Dead which is getting decidedly worse Falling Skies has improved immensley since the first season. Ok, it's not got high end special effects but good story telling, acting and character development, unlike WD where you're shouting at the screen in disbelief they would do someothing so stupid...lol.

Walking dead was slow at the start, and proceeded to get slower and slower. Tedious is an understatement.

Falling skies is slow, and while it is improving (slowly), it at least has short seasons and an interesting concept.

Interesting…..I gave up half way thru the first season only last week. May revisit.

Just trying out the first series. Hope it gets better as I dont want the future of mankind to be left in the hands of such bedwetters

I found the show entertaining enough but it was nothing amazing. I've only seen series one and two, with three downloaded and waiting for a day when I'll get back into it.

I borrowed the first series from the library and thought it was dreadful at first - I only kept watching it because I'd paid money to rent it. The background music was ridiculously intrusive and I couldn't (and still can't) get over that these aliens who have the technology to travel many light years appear unable to spot a huge convoy of humans and bomb the cr4p out of them. Plus, Noah Wylie is a smug and unlikeable git.

It did start to get a bit better and I got into it - I ended up watching all of season 1 and 2. Seeing this thread has reminded me to give season 3 a go.

It's very slow burner and I fear there may never be a 'conclusion', but it's watchable and I'll be watching the next series.

Series 2 was weird with new aliens.

Series 4, I hope it starts kicking alien ass rather than being a case of being hunted all the time or in prison camps and being experimented on.

Season 5 is the final season so we've been promised some closure in terms of storylines.

Ignore me... Im a dumb ass, Season 4 was quite good, Its 5 Im waiting for.

They keep sneaking the series out and there is very little in the way of adverts so I forget were I am with them.
