Hi all

Been looking for a car and these have popped up on my radar so was wondering what they are like to live with as im completely new when it comes to rovers. What are the common problems with the diesels and 75s in general, are parts still easy to get hold of ?
Many thanks
Gary

Good cars in general, very few common faults. The CDT's are quite frankly glacially slow, the CDTi are more than acceptable. 40+mpg on the auto's 50mpgs for manuals. Easy to tweak with a tuning box though.

Only issues I ever had was a camshaft sensor going down which meant it was lazy to start sometimes. Easy fix. Handbrakes are naturally crap lol

Go for an SE Connoisseur to get all the gadgets & cow hide

Owner here. Ive a conny saloon, CDT auto. I have the Synergy 2 tuning box though, which changes the whole dynamic of the car. Worth doing. I love it, I drive 2.5k a month, I tow the caravan, boat, and trailer with it, and its really stable.

Lacking in rear legroom for tall people, but the front is fantastic!

Hi all

Should of updated this really and thanked you for your input,i ended up buying an 02 75 cdt auto connoisseur, the previous owner remapped it and had sorted 99% of the common faults and have to admit its a lovely car specially in black,iv given it a bit of a polish and looking at what options i can retrofit now ( cant leave anything standard haha)touch wood its given me no problems so far and has been returning around 47 mpg around town so much better than my previous car. I will definitely try and upload some pictures soon.
thanks again
Gary
