Best to buy driving lessons as a gift?

Hi, anyone here help me out, want to buy a couple of driving lessons as a gift for someone.

What do people on here suggest, this is a complete beginner with no experience.

I run a driving school and sell a fair few gift vouchers as presents for complete novices. As long as the person you're buying for actually wants to learn and they won't go to waste.

As an ADI also I agree with above, but research who you want to be teaching this novice, have they enough money to continue the training once your money has gone? 5 lessons for £55 on the side of the car does not suggest/mean they are the best ADI. Check ADI is fully qualified! the list goes on.....no one can learn with 10 lessons and pass first time!....wish I had a £10 note for every time I heard that!

Look for a local instructor who also advertises advanced driving, and ask their grade and pass rate. Grades 4 is lowest qualified, 5 better and6 best.

The above is a little outdated (since April 2014)...

Instructors are now simply graded, 'A' or 'B'.

'A' being better.
