Race was a great one smile

Go anywhere nice for your hols ?
Race was brilliant, good recovery drive, lots of good individual performances.

Went down to Cornwall camping, but all the stuff just didn't fit in the Monaro boot (we got all the cooking stuff too, not just the tent etc), so had to take the diesel Leon frown

Want to take it to North Wales again though, and cousin (also petrol head) lives in Edingburgh, so that's begging for a Scottish jolly taking in some distilleries at some point.

Nice one smile

The Americans do lots of stuff like this for their forces. Heard stories of British Forces getting the same treatment when out there as well. A round of applause in seaworld before a show is one of the stories I have heard.

Get lots of discounts on food and entrance fees with military ID in the UK.
Detroit Airport has a special lounge for service men only. I saw in when the door opens and its a pretty nice set up! I imagine there are free/cheap food and beers. Its a very cool gesture.

There are some great gestures by companies out there. I would feel cheeky using them as I have only been sent to the Falklands for 4 and a half months. Had a great time (if a little too long down there) hehe

It could be on SOR, but the dealer will still take a cut from the final price.

High St is a bit sh**e, and generally, not much to write home about, but hey, technically I live in Strood even if Royal Mail class it as Rochester so what do I know!! As with anywhere, there are the good bits and the not so good bits, but it does seem to do a good job of book ending each extreme end of the scale, the nice bits are really nice, the bad bits...you get the picture.
And before anyone asks, I did live there for 3 years, but I was born and bred in Whitstable so I'm a snob anyway paperbag

Bits of Kemsley (the newer bit), Iwade, Bapchild, Tunstall, pretty much most of the outskirts, but not Murston or Church Milton I guess. Great EastHill (I think) round the back of the industrial estate is nice (the new build), but it is at the back of the industrial estate, but has reasonably good access in and out.
No doubt offended someone who might live in one of those areas, but oh well, like I said, I live in Strood and haven't car jacked or murdered anyone yet, so can't all be bad laugh
