Big night out in Duffield.

White Hart and Kings head(?) for a jar before, Viceroy for a curry then Patternmakers to finish off.

Not had a night out down there before, fancy a change.

Thanks for all your replies.

Can anyone please suggest any good areas near Village St?

The inlaws live down that end of town.

No, I can't recommend anywhere very near there.

Although Cavendish Kebab is somewhere nearby, and always looks like it knocks out good size meaty treats.

You don't give much away! wink

Are you thinking just for the school? If so, there are probably better places in Derby and there is a bit of a reputation that hasn't been shaken off (Google Browning Circle shooting).

I think to get clearer answers, you need to tell us a list of must haves and a price range/house type as that can be more relevant in Derby/suburbs.

My budget is £650 to £700 pcm and looking for area near all amenities(GP, Dentist, schools, post office, may be tesco), my mrs has disability and its difficult for her to take public transport.

I am perhaps biased but would lean towards Mickleover. Choice of decent primary and secondary schools and all what you asked for (including a Tescos) in close proximity. It also has a really good round village/in to town bus service which is very accessible. Hilton is also ok but a bit further from where you work and also spread out. Its got a good new Aldi though! wink

I found this as an example (mainly as I have seen the sign and we used the agent) so it may give you an idea:

Hope that helps.

Don't know what the schools are like. But Draycott Breaston Risley. Might be worth a look.
