Just saw that the illustrious Daily Mail have reviewed the C7:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/event/article-2642...

Interesting how wrong the writer is on a number of elements (e.g. no paddle shift gearbox for the 'vette). But then again, don't trust the DM on most things....

Wow, what a crap write up? Just because he drives Ferraris 3 times the cost of a Vet it seems like he can't be bothered.

Oh and Vets don't come with Turbos Chris. Gimp.

Maybe he should get someone who knows a bout cars to vet (haha) his articles before they are published!

"And there’s the assault on your wallet to consider. When it comes to depreciation, I suspect the Corvette is second only to Hawaii when it comes to cliff diving."

I have always thought this man was a pr*ck, here is the confirmation !
Has he compared it to Astons, and Jags and BMW's and AMG's and GTR's, and Continental GT's and,and,.............. I could go on but you get the gist.

I thought that everyone would find it amusing....it's interesting that the comments section of his article is closed. Moron.

C7 gets a fantastic write-up in the latest TopGear magazine (The Stigs Speed Week article). Including blowing away the 542 bhp Jag F-Type R coupe. cool

It was a cr*p review...but to be fair to him about the lack of paddle-shift, according to the Chevy UK web-site you can't order an auto box on a '14 Vette in the UK. I'm guessing the decision was made to hold off until the 8-speeder is available next year (which is a change from the C6 where you could get the carry-over 4-speeder in the UK in first year cars). It was a surprise to me, but price lists never lie ;-)

Interesting that the autobox isn't available until the 8-speed....which is probably a good thing (despite a couple of autos on the listings here on PH).

Read the Top Gear review over the weekend. Nice to see the car get some praise (and made me again wish I was getting one....not that I don't like mine!!). The only main inaccuracy I could spot was the fuel efficiency, which they had at 23 mpg....unless that's the amount that they got from the test. Still, nice to see it beating so many different rivals (and the lateral G result of 1.44 was immensely impressive!).
