Hrimfaxi, thanks for the great pic of the Cobra. Hope you don't mind if I use it for my PH ad (blatant plug there too!)
Have to agree with leaving the venue in a sensible way, be a shame to lose the venue. Only got to look on utube to see what happens when it goes wrong.

Everyone bar very very few were doing it but it was hardly anything other than a quick burst of acceleration which I highyl doubt the police could do much about anyway.
Although the police might take a dim view of the manner of driving, I suspect the reality for Umair as organiser is that more of an issue is that he's reliant on the continued goodwill of the Aerodrome management, and hence also the continuing goodwill of other Aerodrome users including the police, to be allowed to continue using it as a venue.

Looking forward to next month biggrin
Nail on the head completely ^ yes

My business is one of the tenants at the aerodrome so we get alot of leeway as it is...But in order to gain "special access" to the really fun parts that will take the meet to a new level (Mini circuit, drag strip & some fantastic planes/helicopters all in touching distance) is dependant on tbe behaviour of the masses wink

The line of cars I followed out did a lot more than "quick bursts of acceleration". Perhaps they were the exception though.

Remember that the airfield have long been dealing with complaints from local residents about aircraft noise. They are going to have little patience if they start getting a high volume of car complaints as well...

Another small bit advice about the exits.... when leaving the aerodrome and turning left there have been quite a few acidents on those corners recently where diesel has been spilt by the lorries that use those lanes.

Needless to say that a spirted exit + diesel could end pretty badly, so please be careful.
+1. As long as I've been working at the airfield the series of corners when you turn left have been notorious for accidents. Its rare to go more than a month without passing a bent car on that section of road.

The exit of the airfield (onto Kings Mill Lane) has had its fair share of accidents as well: seen a couple of cars T-boned there.

As already mentioned, in the year I have lived just round the corner I have seen over 8 crashes on those corners. This includes a car on its roof and multiple cars embedded into trees. The corners are deceptively tight.

Anyway, role on the next meet as the last one was awesome!
