I will let Tim tell of his weekend as and when. We had an excellent weekend of faultless racing and social ,made all the better by the extremely wet weather over the three days which really tested everyone's skills to the limit. We quallied on Friday in 15th from a grid of 68 cars raining at the top of the circuit through damp into a dry circuit on the start straight. I was glad I was at the pointy end as it was a rolling start for 68 cars all racing as soon as the lights when green. Those that have been to Spa will know that 68 cars fill the whole grid even round the bus stop coming onto the grid. Race one on Saturday was good with as finish in 15th overall, second in Future Classic's my series and my first proper podium I had to race to. Sunday race two I had a race long battle with Paul Black and his co driver with them just getting ahead in the pit stop when Paul took over and we had a bumper to bumper scrap until the flag which the TVR won.14th overall and third in Future Classic's although that probably will be amended to second and another Podium Finish. It was the results Crowthorne Racing deserved. What a weekend still buzzing can't wait till Combe in two weeks to do it all again as well as the chevvy car out in Combe GT's, busy weekend that will be.

my weekend didn't quite go to plan !!!!
still had a great time and the beer was flowing!!
managed to blow the engine on the red Tuscan in practice on Thursday, big end bolt through the bottom of the block at 140mph, a little scary!
bits of engine and a st load of oil all over the track, not good for Rob and Colin as they were right behind me and got damage on their cars from bits of ali block bouncing down the track, one bit missed Robs head by a few inches.
so not content with that I decided to take up Boss racings kind offer to borrow their spare Caterham, and proceeded to punt it head on into a concrete wall !!
needless to say I got very drunk after that and finally passed out in the back of the van at 4 in the morning!!
Spa finally has bitten me on the arse!!
but as they say, "that's racing".
I will be back.

Sounds like a memorable weekend Tim.. if not for all the right reasons! The wallet may be smarting a bit, but no one got hurt, which is the main thing.

Well done Perry especially in those conditions on such a fast circuit clap
Tim i know we have spoke but i feel your pain, but also know the red beast will be back bigger and better than before, as Darren said no one was hurt and thats all that matters!
I'll be at Snetterton but most probably as a spectator unless i can pull something out the bag or you can lend me another one Tim after sabotaging my rent a ride smile

Spoke to Tim already, but I'm sure we all feel for him. We all live in fear of that happening.

Well done to Perry. Spa been good to you over the years. On the podium a couple of times now.
Nice one.

going take my time with the red car and get it rebuilt back to the original 5.2 spec,
the new rover car is now my back up and is staying exactly the same for now with all the stickers on as it came off the track at Oulton in 2010,it will get re-commissioned by Boss Racing ready to go in the CSCC and Bernies V8's.
I have had a very lucky run since starting in 2008 and this last weekend has cost me a fortune but that's how it goes sometimes,
see you all at Snetterton
