The headlining in my X308 has started to sag. It's not noticeable unless you are looking for it, but I'm worried it will eventually let go completely.
Any tips on repair, or failing that can anyone recommend a trimmer in Surrey/Kent/Sussex?

it will only get worse over time,

i currently have an XJR-40 in at the moment getting the headlining & sunroof done with Dave the Trimmer in Frimley. Done a great job of my XJR-6 last year for £300 odd.

I did it myself, in fact I've done a few. The fiberglass can be cracked in half, pulled out the back door and cracked back in. Because of its shape, once it's back in the car you can't tell it has been cracked because it pops back in to place. £10 of 3M fabric and spray glue plus plenty of time is all that's required. Just make sure you have a steady hand, clean place to work and buy the correct fabric, if it's too thin the glue can come through.

We have had samples of the fabric used by this company and they are not even a close match to the original Jaguar headlining colour.

The guy that does all our interior work does all our headlining with a much better match. The saggy headlining is a very common problem now in the older XK8/Rs, so much so that he has done 3 for us in the last 2 weeks.

I must have been lucky because it matched mine perfectly. However I did check up before hand

I've just fixed mine with some twist pins. Cheap as chips and works a treat. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UPHOLSTERY-TWIST-13mm-PI...

I found this video and followed suit.

Thanks for the links. I'll have a think about upholstery pins as a temporary fix, but not sure I could live with the button down effect in the long term.

Where can you obtain matched pins ? I am assuming you have matched to either the grey or beige.
Just found a company that produce new headliners for £200.
I am thinking that maybe experiment with the sagging one by working out how to stick suede to it......and refit

I had a new headlining fitted to my X308 XJR at the Jag Workshop in Ealing a month or two ago. I think it was about £275 + VAT and it was done on the same day.
