I think they've picked quite a convenient year to basically, bash 5 day cricket...

I thought Johnson was out here last summer and his batting was better than his bowling in the tests ?
No he got dropped during the disastrous tour of India and didn't get picked for tests again until Brisbane.

Watch out, pyjamas about. Wakey wakey everyone.

England won the toss and are having a bowl. Indians starting where they left off in the tests... 26/2 off 10 overs.

Amazing stat, yet sadly unsurprising.

Now it is only 295 - so easy game.

What do you most need when chasing 300 in an ODI. Step forward Alistair Cook - Strike rate today 38%

I can only imagine Hales at the other end shouting "nice leave skip" as another slot ball sails past the withdrawn bat....

No. I think we have it all wrong, getting players in to the test team through the ODI squad. They need to exist separately I reckon. What happened to Broad captaining the ODI side? Has Cook stepped in because he's injured? Why is Morgan not captaining this side? Confused.com.

Agree Cooky not for me either. Taylor in Vince in, we need dynamic batters because we won't be up with the rate then its down to Buttler every time. I have to say Morgan has to pull his finger out for me too. Hasn't delivered much in the last 12-18 months.....
