This, I suspect, will eventually get out into the open properly, just a matter of time before we have a 'Milly Dowler' hacking moment and the full story of these vile people in the top of our society will be revealed !

Well done to Simon Danczuk for not letting go on this one....

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves as who knows quite how damning the evidence within the dossier really is - but it being handed to officials who don't get back to the Secretary of State but aren't chased in any way...?

I know a lot goes on in government and it might not have been particularly pressing to LB at the time but the affair is a bit smelly.

It's been/being discussed in the John Lydon thread, incidentally.

Deserves a thread of it's own surely.

Who knows where this may end?

So C4 News had this as the lead story....
But they already have LB on the run, last year 'can't remember', now 'vivid memory' of the dossier and the events.

Interesting !

I suspect there has been a cover up in relation to various high profile figures in politics and elsewhere for a great many years. I also suspect that this will continue.

It looks like Leon Brittan is playing the amnesia card.
I wonder if there could be another copy of the Dickens dossier in a safe somewhere.

The missing dossier may be inconvenient, but it's not the end of it.

In the Telegraph today

Telegraph said:
More than 10 current and former politicians are on a list of alleged child abusers held by police investigating claims of a Westminster paedophile ring.
MPs or peers from all three main political parties are on the list, which includes former ministers and household names.
Several, including Cyril Smith and Sir Peter Morrison, are no longer alive, but others are still active in Parliament.
The existence of the list was disclosed by Peter McKelvie, the whistleblower whose claims prompted Operation Fernbridge, the Scotland Yard investigation into allegations of a paedophile network with links to Downing Street.
Mr McKelvie, a retired child protection team manager who has spent more than 20 years compiling evidence of alleged abuse by authority figures, said he believed there was enough evidence to arrest at least one senior politician.

The sad thing is I trust neither the Police nor our Polticians to tell us the truth about what went on.

Indeed. BUT the more the public complain about this, the more likely that something will be done. And it needs to be done.

The older I get the more despairing I am about those institutions which are supposed to protect us.

Miliband is calling for an enquiry, Cameron hasn't inspired much confidence that he wants the truth to come out.

The problem is that at the moment all the noise is coming from people who are all too easily discredited.

It is frankly insulting for the home office to say the file is lost.

It has the makings of a House of Cards, but my bet is that it's dragged on, then a minor scapegoat will be found then some semblance of truth being revealed when the major players are dead. By which time it will read like the pages of a history book.
