I'm still watching, but it's very slow and boring so far.
Tough crowdGive it a chance, it is an eight part series, not the Bourne identity.
I''ve been away in the Middle East for a few weeks with a few more to go and caught up with the first two episodes via a handy VPN to iplayer. I must say it beats watching bbc world news on a 20 minute loop!
Looks well made and for me it is a rare programme where I'm looking forward to the next instalment, must be good then. A bit like Homeland but unlike any American offering of this ilk, things actually happen! I predict a few awards for the series.

Not being able to tell the difference between a stone factory and an abattoir was somewhat odd for an otherwise intelligent body guard. And who the fk does the books at night, in the dark anyway.
Nevertheless, I'm quite enjoying this despite the sluggish nature of parts of it.
Since the first episode everything has been pointing towards Nessa being the mother of Kasim - so much so that I assume that's not the case and there is a twist here somewhere.
Any thoughts on what the big secret could be?

I'm going for Nessa being a fully paid up member and leader of Hezbollah. Her spy spied on the James Bond type with the dodgy laptop, she calls in the scar face bad boy from Palestine to eliminate him. Still think Nessa might be Kasims mother and scar face the father, Stockholm syndrome and all that.....

Excellent TV (for adults). Agree very Tinker Taylor. The MI6 guy is Smilie in disguise!
I won't find it on ceebeebies then? What a strange comment, really enjoyed TTSS (series and film) but found this dull.I know you said you didn't watch past the first 35 minutes on E1, but you could watch a 35 minute segment of TTSS and fall asleep, it's only that most of us have read the book which helps keep your interest. This programme, whilst not perfect by a long way, doesn't have that advantage.

In which case I wonder what kind of work Nessa's foundation is really doing - I think it's a little more sinister than simply providing broadband internet to the West Bank. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
