Hi guys,
I am thinking of getting a pair of Lotus Elise seats and putting them in my chim! Has anyone done this and if so was it a big job?
Cheers

Yes, I put some in mine briefly. I have a dodgy back and decided I preferred the original Chim seats, as I needed to adjust the rake of the seat back and Elise seats don't adjust for rake.I am thinking of getting a pair of Lotus Elise seats and putting them in my chim! It depends what runners you have underneath. The ones mine came with (bought from another TVR owner) did not fit the same holes. The seats are fitted through four holes in the floor, I had to drill new rear holes to fit the Elise seats. Not more than a 20 minute job, take the roof off and the carpet out while you line up to drill.
Mine were mk 2 seats, and were quite a tight fit at the top, as I have a roll cage. Phazed swears by Elise seats, is 6ft 3, and has them permanently in his Chimaera in preference to Chim seats. My seats now reside in another TVR owner's Chim, and he's 6 ft 7. So good if you are tall.
