Starting at the beginning of the year, I have finally got the interior of the car sorted, so time to show it off.
The speaker system comprises of 4 x 16cm speakers (2 in door and 2 behind seats). 2 tweeters in doors and a sub in the passenger footwell.

Original portland grey interior and fitted speakers.

Subwoofer. The 2 pieces of MDF support a thick piece with drilled holes:

Speakers behind seats:

Drab, worn, tired grey interior:

The retrim was done by Dave the Trimmer Esquire:

I'm really chuffed with the colours that match the switches, not too yellow and a dark blue that is not navy.

Love the diamond pattern that the stitches make in the seat bottoms and transmission cover. When I finally get the motor in my 5000M sorted, I will have a go at the interior. Something like yours is a great direction for me.
Love it!!!

I think Dave called the stitching Bentley stitching which is a double seam rather than a single.

Dhustone - hope you dont mind me asking, but any further detail on the stereo system you selected, including head unit/speakers/sub, would be appreciated. Any feedback on how you have found it also most helpful. I assume you managed to fit the new head unit in the space left from the former factory fitted unit and did not need to do any fibreglass work/change on the dash unit itself?

Thanks in advance.

Craig.

No worries. I'll list what I can.
The head is a Kenwood BT9 2SD and slipped straight in. Only fiddle was getting the plugs and leads to behind the radio so it would slide in.
All the speaker kit is Alpine. The chap that fitted it got rid of the packaging so not sure of the door and rear speakers but will have a look at the subwoofer model in the footwell when I get home at the end of the week.

The sub looks like an Alpine SWE-1200 (which is what I also have in my footwell smile).

I went a bit overboard with that having all carpets, alcantara and leather done. Brilliant job done but you won't see any change from 4k.
As for the audio the sub is the one mentioned above.
