ICT job market in Australia, in particular Perth.

Evening all.

Any insight into the current ICT job market, please? I'm a generalist with bags of experience in Project/ Programme Management, Risk/ Compliance and Service Management. So the typical ITIL, CISA, MSP background.

I have a fair smattering of big brands, projects and successes within my career history. I fully accept that this is not an exotic or specialised profile however. Is the market over-supplied?

UK based, considering options.

Don't know about Perth, but I'm a PM based in Melbourne and the market is definitely oversupplied and has been for a few years. There are a lot of good IT people out of work or with big gaps between contracts. I consider myself very fortunate to still have continuing contract work. And I'm in Perth, but know nothing about PM roles (I'm a Developer contractor).

I'm not even sure what the current situation is like.

My current main client is busy, so I've not really looked elsewhere.
