Nice work on the close up pictures Is this an AM standard part?
Your waterfall is very nice, the machined swirls give an engineering/old school classic car feeling. Is this the same finish on MikeyK's Waterfall below?
Apparently, they don't do Microspin anymore. I've been told that I wont be able to get a replacement if it breaks....Too scarce Your waterfall is very nice, the machined swirls give an engineering/old school classic car feeling. Is this the same finish on MikeyK's Waterfall below?
MikeyK's looks a bit like the Nexus pattern not Microspin. As far as I can see, this is a list of the Sat Nav surrounds that have been made.
Carbon fibre
Piano black
Dragon 88
Mahogany
Walnut
Bamboo
Double apex alloy
Microspin alloy
Prism alloy
Gun metal
Nexus alloy
Tamo ash
Can we tick these off when they've been shown on the thread? That woul dbe cool, pics of all of them.

Durability - how is it finished? Looks like it is a Matte finish maybe? This would help reduce fingerprints, marks and outside reflections.
Lake Como meet & drive: wonderful let's meet up! I shall send you a PM. I will be able to see the blue waterfall in person

Custom painted waterfall, this is interesting! In theory this has great potential - personalisation.

Mine is not matte, it has a trasparent paint protection like the paint of the car but I think that you can do all the finishment that you want with a professional painterDurability - how is it finished? Impossible to see any finger prints on my waterfall

I think the customised waterfall is a nice expansion of the thread - has anyone else got custom waterfalls?
We still need pictures of the AM parts list posted earlier, can anyone help with some pictures?

...It creates perspective, distance and space within the confines of a small cabin. ...
I think it looks a bit clumsy and gives the impression it's taking up a lot of space unnecessarily....and whilst not the ski slope/waterfall per se, especially so in front of the passenger (doubly so when you consider how big the glove box is). It's well put together, and as interiors go Aston ones are still amongst the best IMO. But there are elements that could be improved upon.

The space used is large, you are right. I have a pair of sunglasses in my glovebox
One benefit I have noticed when taking friends out for a spin. They have all said how big and safe the car feels. I am thinking the extra space between the passenger and windscreen gives the environment a subconscious feeling of space = safety.
When in a Porsche the dash comes down quite quickly from the windscreen and the feeling of space is much more limited, I have always felt very engaged with the windscreen and the action up front and so close.

Can anyone help with good ideas for masking quantity circles around the heat controls/graphics, pre-painting for the middle HVAC fascia?
I like the idea of running the same finish down from the Waterfall. After, painting the lower plate under the gear surround to match (all 3 fascia's matching):
If you have access to a vinyl cutter this is really easy to do. I bought my wife a Silhoutte Cameo for Xmas and I've used it more than her. I like the idea of running the same finish down from the Waterfall. After, painting the lower plate under the gear surround to match (all 3 fascia's matching):
Just cut out a few circles in the desired diameters, stick them on and paint away. To ensure a clean edge, I would peel the vinyl off while the paint is still wet. Then put a nice thick clear coat on top of the painted and unpainted area to make the finish smooth.

I like the idea of the vinyl circles thanks, definitely removing them whilst paint still soft. The clear lacquer coating is also a great idea! Thank you Sir!
My daughter (who is a handbag designer) is currently at home designing new leather features/theme for the interior on TeaSpn, I plan to change the centre console to match her design direction... exciting first concepts tonight :heehee:
ahhha, just found someone who did a custom waterfall: MaverickV12 in 2013: http://www.pistonheads.com/GASSING/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Has anyone else done any personalization of their waterfall (not your garden waterfalls ) ?
I am working on ski-slope options currently...
