Are you now having a go at people who have served in the Armed Forces? Charming. This thread is pathetic, both sides in this conflict are acting like psychopathic kids, no side is any better than the other.

Are you now having a go at people who have served in the Armed Forces? Charming. So Hamas have fired over 70 missiles at Israel in 24 hours because they cant get their own way at the peace table. It would appear that they had no intention of reaching a peace deal and have just been stalling for time to rearm.
Oh those evil Jewish people and their wicked Zionist ways!

If you have concerns, share them in your embassy or in parliament or in a neutral place, not in Bradford."He added: "We work in harmony in Bradford and we support our Jewish community. Last year it was the Muslim community which helped to secure the sustainability of the city's last synagogue."
With only 299 Jews left in the city, the final synagogue was under threat of closure when members could not afford to repair the roof, until local Muslims kickstarted a campaign to save the 133-year-old building.
In his speech on Monday, Taub praised the cross-cultural understanding in Bradford. "This real Bradford has a great deal to teach the world about a multicultural city where Christians, Muslims, and Jews live, work, and cooperate together. Here, the historic synagogue thrives thanks to the support of the Muslim community. It's a much-needed model of how people who may not agree about everything can still listen to each other, hear each other, and treat each other with genuine respect."

So some people are giving money to fix synagogue, and some people are so incensed by an ad for humanitarian aid, that they demand, and receive the 'apology' from JC. Yes and I see they broke the ceasefire again tonight sending messages back. Staggering to see that they still have fire power given how locked in they are and having been carpet bombed. Perhaps they have recruited David Copperfield. Peace.
Or perhaps IDF is much better at killing civilians than actually destroying Hamas' weaponry. Occam's razor.TheRealFingers99 said:

I think the best part of that piece was ;During his visit on Monday, Taub said: "In the best spirit of Yorkshire, the real voice of Bradford knows that there has only ever been one good boycott – and that's Geoff Boycott."

Pointless fking thread. Hundreds of pages of circular arguments and name calling.
I wouldn't say it was pointless. At every stage the defenders of child murderers have been shown to trying to defend the indefensible. And that the majority of people who have any insight on this issue see Israel for the thieving war criminal terrorist state that it is. Not pointless at all. The world is turning against people who use past atrocities before their life time to justify putting other people in concentration camps.
You see RT in your response you encapsulate the type of comment that turns many away. When you say 'defenders of child murderers' you could be referring to either side in the conflict, but you're not.
Then you use 'the majority of people' as if you've been able to accurately poll 'people who have any insight' (WTF does that even mean?) and arrive at your conclusion.
It gets better - 'thieving war criminal terrorist state' - don't hold back, but do explain just how many other countries could also wear the same monicker (nearly all at some stage).
Followed by 'the world is turning' - again you have access to poll results no-one else has seen.
'atrocities before their lifetime' - the victim card, no? And the Palestinians refrain from this? And are all WWII camp inmates now dead?
I'm not saying you're completely wrong, but this hyperbole is just what negates otherwise constructive discussion. IMHO.

Well, I live in another multicultural part of the UK and see it working, pretty well, day by day. On a sadder note, I think one of my former neighbours has gone back to Kurdistan to fight. We don't know why the talks broke down. One of the reports suggests that the Palestinian delegation thought that the Israelis had been recalled to get approval for one of their proposals. The report suggested that Hamas had made significant concessions over the airport and docks.
In passing, I'd point out that offensive actions while seated at the peace table have been a part of Israeli tactics in the past, but I really don't know what happened in this case (I am not in contact with Hamas).
Let's hope that talks can be resumed.

with respect, that patently bull..In passing, I'd point out that offensive actions while seated at the peace table have been a part of Israeli tactics in the past, but I really don't know what happened in this case (I am not in contact with Hamas).
the three rocket salvo from Gaza was out of the blue, 8 hours before the end of the 5 day ceasefire (and the next 24 hour one was due to start), and preceded Israel withdrawing from the talks.
way I see it, two options:
1) one of the nutter groups got impatient and trigger happy
2) Hamas were not getting what they wanted and though they could stir the pot a bit more to garner more international bleeding hearts support to pressurise Israel with.

My understanding was that Israel were insisting that Hamas surrender all their weapons before any ceasefire would be extended. In passing, I'd point out that offensive actions while seated at the peace table have been a part of Israeli tactics in the past, but I really don't know what happened in this case (I am not in contact with Hamas).

What is clear is that the original pretext for the attack on Gaza (the murder of 3 kids) was false, and that Israel will now launch a further ground offensive, and that Likud will offer neither a viable 2 state solution nor an inclusive 1 state solution.

So, what bit is bull? ".......offensive actions while seated at the peace table have been a part of Israeli tactics in the past" or "we don't know why the talks broke down". ( RTE for both sides.)
what are you on?the bull is that Israel pulled out of the talks for any other reason than Hamas firing rockets at them yet again.
or are you going to deny that the rockets exist?

I would suggest we know exactly why they broke down. Neither side would yield and Hamas realised that the worlds media has shifted attention to ISIS and the US bombing, got pissed off so fired at Israel. Knowing full well that Israel would resume their bombing in retaliation, thereby bring the media spotlight back on them. When a Hamas spokesman says "If Netanyahu doesn't understand... the language of politics in Cairo, we know how to make him understand" and an hour later rockets land in Israel I think it is obvious as who and why the ceasefire broke down.

The rockets exist. So do the tanks, the fighter bombers, the cluster bombs and the white phosphorus shells. There are murdering bds on both sides and no white knights.
Time for a new government and peace.
