Any local recommendations for Cardiff with Quiet "airstrips" or straight flat roads that are ideal for trying out Launch control on my new motor? At night / early hours obviously!

Or from Cardiff, take M48, roundabout to Chepstow, and come back on yourself. M48 is very quiet indeed.

There's a nice straight 1/4 mile by the LG strip on the A48, just outside St Mellons.

Speed limit is 40mph rolleyes

Not these days, there is a speed limit until all the lane merge together then national speed limit. I saw someone get pulled by the police for doing that. Shame, as it was the best legal 0-60 practice here.

Would have thought the best place to test launch control would be on an industrial estate 'after hours.'
