It was trundling up and down the street in Arnage over the weekend and I saw it again last night waiting for the tunnel. It is a bit of a beast!

It was a Simplex - maybe a '50' - saw it on the way down and back and had a little Google over the weekend.

Dirty great big chain drive system but didn't see what engine, but probably something American (don't know if they made their own engines).

Exposed flywheel underneath too. It was quite fabulous.

With grooves cut into the piece behind to run the belt for the modern alternator which was hidden (sort of...) behind a piece of metal.

Would love to have seen it running though !
