Thinking about going for a looksie at this, anybody on here know this car. Also take a look at the front as it appears to be missing the slats on the side scoops, is this normal. www.bowkerribblevalley.co.uk

Normal. Its an Exige. Expensive for a 2009 car but big spec and low mileage. No idea about its real value. Would have thought nearer £30k despite the spec. Add ons don't tend to increase the value of the car by much. They seem to have been thoughtfully done, the exhaust being a good example. Its been for sale for some time. Take a look. If you like it make an offer, don't be afraid to go hard on the price if you like it.

I thought all MY2010 Exiges had the slats in the air scoops, certainly all the ones that I've seen have, was just wondering if its had a clamshell. I agree with the price and I certainly would not be paying that for it, how long has it been for sale

Its well overpriced and been on sale from them for ages; price being the reason I expect. The add ons, despite the hope of the dealer, will have less influence on the price. It should be more like 30kish. Its a good 5 over.

It should have horizontal slats on the side air scoops. All MY 2010 Exiges have them as far as I know. Mine certainly does and so did all others I looked at.

Price seems ok to me as a sticker price. Mine is a very similar spec, same packs, same year slightly higher mileage and was advertised for £33k last year and prices have actually firmed up since then. I paid a bit less than that in the end but I doubt you'll get that one for £30k. Unless of course there is something wrong with it...

Just noticed, it's running budget tyres! That' seems odd to me. 300bhp upgrades and cheap tyres dont sit well together.

I'd ask for them to be changed for AO48s.

Might want to google a bit or ask on SELOC about the reliability of that 300bhp upgrade too. Hangar 111 are generally well respected though.

It would be a better car without the upgrades! I'd prefer it stock.

Not sure I'd call Kumho V70a's budget tyres? Seen a few people on SELOC use them and seem to be viewed as good alternative to R888's or A048's. I run KU-31's on my Elise S1 and much preferred them to the Toyo T1-R's I had before hand too - running out of life in in them unfortunately and its hard to get KU-31's now I afaik.

A few companies do kits for changing the black slats for metal vents and thought that's generally viewed as a bonus with the plastic ones viewed as a bit cheap looking.

I went to see this the other week but a few things just put me off.
The engine work was done a week before the car was sold by the previous owner which seemed a little odd.
The drivers door has dropped, which is something I would have fixed if id had it sat in the showroom for 6 months.
As already mentioned the front clam is missing the slats and when combined with the fact that it has no paint protection yet doesnt have a single stone chip made me believe its had a recent front respray too. Now that could be a good point for the car but just something about the car made me think it had either been in a shunt or had heavy track use in the past.
Its a well presented and fantastic looking car though and many of the downsides could just be in my head. Id say go take a look and see what you think. I think the price isnt really too far off at the minute but id expect S2 price to start falling again soon as the S3 seems to be taking a big initial hit in residuals and a few more truly used examples are starting to crop up so it wont be long until we start seeing S3 in the mid 40s

That would be enough to make me walk, IE, having no stone chips, without the Armourfend.
The price is excessive. Exiges are appreciating mind you, but that is probably a bit too high. He would have been better putting the car back to standard, get his 32k for the car, then sell off the mods.
That is just what I would do, and It generally recoups your money.
If a logical explanation was given to you, that It had been repainted for whatever reason, then fair enough. Slats missing could just be a personal thing.
Tyres again are a personal choice.
