Hello gents,

I'm off to Blyton at the end of the month for the first time and have a couple of ponce questions:

1) Is there a restaurant / somewhere for lunch (that isn't a burger van) on site?

2) There is no mention of garages etc. Do I take it that everyone is outside for the day and to plan accordingly?

It's a super cheap day so I'm not really bothered either way, just want to know whether to ask wifey to pack my sandwiches and rain coat or my wallet & sunglasses wink

Can get a lovely meal at the local pub in the village, called the Black Horse. If it's a Sunday then better to book a table. A y other day you should be okay. Other than that there is a chippie in Scotter or Kirton Lindsey. Weekday there is a sandwich shop/bakery in both both scotter and kirton as well.

Terrific, thanks.

(I take that to mean that there isn't any scoff to be had at the track smile)

No garages but I seem to recall there was food on site but we went to get fuel and ended up in McD.

Nearby town has quite a few shops and a big Tescos.

Oh, there IS food there - hmm, good. Thanks.

Re fuel: I assume it's relatively close as I'll be happy if I get double figures out of my old sheissebox.

Nearest town is Gainsborough, which is 5 miles away, there is a McDonald's and KFC there now. Not sure about food at the track as I live in the area so that's how I know where's local.

Thanks all.

Jason at Blyton has told me they do some tip top scoff these days so great we can eat on site.

Also handy to be close if any of the cars burst into flames. wink

There is an on site cafeteria. Decent food, for stuff like jacket potatoes, they ask if you order in the morning.
Food is fine.

Usually people Park either side of the access road (on site), big hanger IF it's hammering it down.

I take my own fuel, but understand you can get it fairly close.

One potential issue is there's nowhere particularly close to get 98/99 RON petrol unless the Tesco has begun selling it. You can get 97 in Gainsborough but I know some travel to the Shell garage in Retford for V-Power.

ETA: Didn't notice you were the OP, which car are you taking and what date? I often go down to watch for a bit if I know something interesting is going to be on track, rather than a myriad of Mazdas and 7evens..

That's right up my street, sadly being on a Friday I probably won't be able to make it.

For what it's worth, the Shell Garage in Retford has not had V-Power for a week or so, for some reason.

Many Tescos sell 99 - does that one? My car prefers a flake with it's petrol....hehe
