Have the opportunity of some EAW speakers. I've never heard of them, let alone experienced them. Looking to use in a large room 5.1 system. MS30Ci model. Anyone shed any light on if they're worth looking at ? They're a US manufacturer, seems very low volume (no pun intended) in Europe. I've had some ste American speakers in the past....

EAW are a long established pro audio speaker manufacturer but they are best known for PA/concert/cinema type products rather than domestic gear. The spec of the MS30 suggests they will be good in a large room 5.1 setup; they have good off axis performance, for a moving coil speaker, and they have decent max output.

Yes, big pro-audio manufacturer, at one point the best large PA speakers around, now part of Loud Technologies who also own Mackie and Martin Audio, who make PA speakers here in the UK.

MS series where designed as studio monitors, so for home cinema should be fine, although studio monitors are designed to have a 'flat' response, I've tried a few over the years for HiFi use and not liked them.

Many thanks for the information. Interesting they're from the same group as Martin Audio. They have some of those too. Makes sense I guess.

Bringing a pair home tomorrow to play with.... Will report.

The EAW MS30CI are the best speakers for DJ's they get LOUD and sound great. I have 4 of them I pulled from a club that folded after 6 months. Yes, you got it I never got paid for them which I paid $1,280.00 wholesale each! So my loss your gain. I would like yo get $600 each for a total; of $2,400.00 with delivery within the US and outside the US a little more for shipping.
