Having been out in a few cars now with new suspension, i'm getting very tempted to get new springs and shocks. Gaz gold Pros have been suggested. I think that Nitrons may be too pricey for what I want to spend and what I am using car for (fast road/possibly occasional track days).

Any other options for suspension? Any opinions on Gaz gold pros?

Also, are there any parts i will need to change / recommended to change at the same time as doing suspension so I can budget for doing this at the same time.

Thanks

Do you not just fancy standard Bilsteins? It could save you a lot of frig on and heartache.

Definitely do the suspension bushes at the same time. I went for GGPs set them to the recommended settings for fast road use and they are spot on in my opinion.

You will also want to have the geometry checked.

Seconded for this use. Just need to raise the ride height slightly now, when I can get round to it (fine without swmbo on board)

Gaz Gold Pros suit me very well. Both road and track.
And your spring weights need to be 400 lbs or more front ( I had 500 lb recommended to me at the Grief Growl), 375 or so rear. Too soft can create a bouncy castle ride. Any adjustables make ride comfort and ride height so easy to adjust.

Do go to a TVR expert with the right equipment (Hunter geo machine) and get the ride height set and the geo checked, toe, cast and camber, once the dampers and springs are installed (and anything else like suspension rubbers) - you are talking about £100, and that defines how nicely the car will drive.

If you need suggestions as to where to take it, just ask,

I would certainly advise doing it when the sunny season has ended as one thing leads to another and you will end up with the car off the road for a while. The easiest way is shocks only, but as the other guys say to get the best you need bushes and a geometry and corner weight set up, then that will turn into top ball joints bottom ball joints track rod ends, whilst your at it may as well tidy the chassis up, Those brakes might need new pads and the calipers need a coat of paint. See what I mean. Drive it now strip it in November.

Thanks for all the replies, decided in the end to get GGP's and car is at Top Cats Racing for them to fit at some point in the next couple of weeks (busy at weekends so not going to be driving it anyway.)

Better as said above to get them set up well and i'm sure they will be able to do this!

p.s. The new Top Cats workshop is really impressive! What a contrast to the previous place!

Have they kept the prices the same after moving premises?

I'm not sure if prices have changed, hopefully not!
