Hi all, I'm sure this has probably been covered already, but looking to convert my mk1 Eunos to(ideally remote keyless) central locking, and wondered if there were any kits that came highly recommended? I'm looking at this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAZDA-MX5-REMOTE-CENTRAL...

...and wondered if anyone had experience of this one, or could recommend a better one? She's booked in to see the guys at Freelance Mazda on Monday week (21/7), so would be great to have a kit ready to give to them.

Also, I was only given one immobiliser key when I bought the car which does make me slightly nervous, should it go missing, so wondered whether it would be worth trying to source a spare one, or buying a whole new immobiliser with 2 or 3 new keys, and getting it installed while all the wiring was exposed?

Also, ball park figure at what I might be looking at for this lot?

Many thanks.

We used this guy off of E Bay, he came & fitted it on the drive in Chatham, in evil weather, raining & cold. He is from the Eastern Bloc, Romanian or Lithuanian I think. The one he fitted to Becks car isn't on his site at the mo, but he does lots & bought several to pick from. The c/l & alarm kit was £40 or so, I think he charged £140 or so for the fit but it took all day! He made a great job & it works well.
Mark at Freelance had offered to do it but this was more convenient.

Thanks for the reply. Ended up going onto a nutz thread and this was the one I finally went with: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160889872451?ssPageName=...

Couldn't wait any longer as needed it for the drop off Monday. I'm in Deal, so think that might have been a bit far for your chap to have travelled anyway. Can't wait for the upgrade!
