Ooh yeah, weird!
It doesn't even show in my history yet I added to it a short while ago.

Check out the small print in "the rules", something about no charity collections, auctions etc, I fell foul of it just after a dear friend died and i tried to do a light hearted auction to raise a little something for the hospice irked

Bit like talking to a copper that's determined to give a ticket for 31mph in a 30 zone. Technically right and adhering to the rules, but everyone else thinks something very different. Disappointing

Yeah same with me with the Stickers for The Autistic Society post.
But I spoke with one of the PH guys and it was reinstated.

That stinks!

I could understand it if the cause was an unknown, untraceable charity, but the money is going directly to a traceable destination, the same as Mike's hospice.

Let's hope that if the people enforcing this ruling are unfortunate enough to need the services of establishments such as these, the money is there to ensure they get the level of support they require.

Very disappointing and something I would not have expected of PH. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

..so where are these rules that must be obeyed...I would like to have a look to see where the loop holes are hiding....we are S owners...no-one likes us but we don't care, and it's our job not to conform when the fight is right

Guys,

Gary sent me an email to say he'd started a topic but I didn't get a chance to read it. I hope it was complimentary... maybe the mods removed it because he made a personal attack on me...? hehe

Seriously though, I fully understand that rules are rules and a line must be drawn somewhere, although where the line is drawn doesn't always suit all of the people all of the time. One job I never want is a moderator on a forum - it's a tough enough role at the best of times so please don't be too hard on them wink

I really do appreciate your support from the messages I've received and, most importantly, the donations you made through the link especially clap

I'll let you know how I get on but will obviously not make any mention of the charity side of things in the forum. Instead I'll focus on the pain and suffering I'll be putting myself through!

Cheers
