My fleet - Four BMWs, four decades
Discussion
Not the best of photos, but wanted to share my current fleet of BMWs spanning four decades, 0, 10, 20 and 30 years old this year.
1984 BMW 635 CSi
Bought last year having been off the road for a few years it is now back on and wafting around using huge amounts of fuel. Is great fun though, but reluctantly up for sale due to little use.
1994 BMW 525i Touring
Bought for peanuts in 2007 with 202k I ran this for three years before selling it to a friend. I bought it back in January at 246k with the goal of hitting a quarter of a million miles. A lovely old wallowy thing with great spec (buffalo leather, manual, full working sunroof) and FSH. Two weeks ago carried five of us to Belgium averaging a true 33mpg. Ought to let it go at 250k.
2004 BMW M3 CSL
This is mint with just 32000 miles and FSH. Bought last year, it has risen in value already. Currently having the subframe issue fixed at BMW. Love it to bits, and it is a keeper.
2014 BMW M135i
Managed to get this on a good lease deal. Well specced with loads of toys this is a great car that is pretty cheap to run. Crazy fast but A little boring however, as it isn't used as a daily.
Also have a third share in a 2000MY 325i SE track day car, but won't share those details as it wasn't built in a year ending with a 4!

Great collection, and similar to mine except I have two E24's, an E34 Touring and an E39 Touring. My favourite to drive is the E34 Alpina and the favourite overall is the M635CSi.
I'm afraid I won't join you in the newer generation of BMW's as they are too easy to steal and too hard to work on.
