I have lost the will to live on this road. At the head of every queue is someone doing 24 mph irrespective of speed signs. The huge tail of frustrated, depressed, suicidal drivers behind slow coach says it all. Sooooooo glad I am only on holiday here, not residing anywhere on this road.

Man o man do I agree with you. I've travelled that road a lot as my inlaws live in Kirkbymoorside.

It just aint that road though bro, the whole damn country is on a go slow. Its laughable that Mways take the traffic off A roads, all the traffic on previous road moves to the Mway and then they hit the empty old A road with a 50 limit 'for our safety'..

50 limit? Half the plebs on the road don't hit 40, let alone 50......

I've just come back from a driving hol in Spain. Trust me, the UK is an absolute dump to drive in compare to the lovely empty roads of there.

A170- divine on a mid week evening. Nightmare at weekends . Timing is all- on a 4 hour blat through Vale of Mowbray, Wensleydale ,Forest of Bowland and Airedale last year I overtook my second car at 10 am , three and a half hours after the first one. Saturday morning , 6am start.
