Well, I guess you're likely to stand out from the crowd in that one. What colour (and any other spec') did you go for?

Looks the dogs, I'd love one but I'd look at the Exige v6 cup first, that's if my budget would stretch.

Congrats, I'd be excited too.

For the uninitiated:

I have one coming, going for the "record spec".. white, black roof, red wheels... no aircon or radio + nurburgring pack.
Late October/early November delivery I'm told.
Apparently all 30 UK cars have sold out, you heard that too?
Speaking with Renaultsport at goodwood FOS all 30 allocated to the UK were sold with 2hrs!

I've not ordered, am sticking with my 265 Trophy, although am rather tempted at switching to an M235i

Well I'd heard they'd all sold out but only ordered mine last week and it didn't seem like a problem. I've gone for record colours too with Ring package but black wheels, also put a/c and RS monitor back in.

As said there are no ones left to order, you had to be fast, only the normal 275 Trophy now.

Great car absolutely, and seeing people who own Porsche Gt3 rs's ordering them really speaks for what car it is,the record spec with the Ohlin dampers and all is the one i would have gone a no brainer !

I'll be interested to see one on the road in due course. Might take a while with so few around!

It's not like you see the current one's in vast numbers, in a month I see maybe 2-3 at most on the road so these will be a rare site indeed.

I quite fancy a 275 Trophy with the Ohlins dampers but it does seem a little pointless when I've already got a 250 and have no intention of taking it back to a track!

The stickers look great on the Trophy R, but if I bought a normal Trophy I'd have to take them off immediately as they just don't like right in silver!

Just undecided what I'll do with it. I've (supposedly) got one of the first UK cars though so I think I probably will take. Had a go in it at Goodwood up the hill and it is a phenomenal bit of kit!

Seems like it's going to be an awesome bit of kit!

Could someone tell me what record spec means? Never heard that phrase before this thread!

I'd be interested to see what a spare set of rims cost. Thought I'd put some slicks on

They're not Magnesium are they? If they're just standard alloy then you're probably looking at somewhere around 800-1k similar to the current wheels they use.

They're an odd fitment for aftermarket wheels though.

I have ordered one, although during the long wait I am thinking is it the right thing to do. I'm sure when I get it, I will be reassured.

I have gone for the following,

Liquid yellow, climate control, rs v2 sport monitor, red wheels and full nurburgring pack.

After having the r26.r from new and not having a stereo, electric mirrors and a bland interior, the 275-r car should tick the boxes the old car didn't.

Had 2 dealers on the "R" on the day it was launched. one of which got me a ride with m.Hurgon up the hill at Goodwood (Brilliant!)
Prevaricated for 24 hours and they were all sold. !!

So had a think and placed an order for the regular Trophy which is probably the sensible thing to have done anyway.

Then a few weeks later I was phoned and asked if I still wanted an R by another dealer. So there's been a certain amount of second thinking by the original deposit placers it seems. But despite the attractions of the R , a suitably optioned Trophy is a more usable car so stayed with what I've ordered.

Liquid Yellow (Just has to be, so iconic a RS colour and gets so much positive reaction when you own it), Ohlins, Turinis (Though without the Cups) Being built Sept 18th so hopefully on the road mid October.

Think of it this way, if it isn`t going to be daily transport how would you like to stumble upon a "barn find" Trophy R in the future?

I think I`d want it to have all the exciting stuff and none of the "luxury" / "practical" options, I`m really excited for the soon to be Trophy R owners but I couldn`t get past the £40k
