Make use of the fast passes, you are only "allowed" one at a time, but you can collect your next pass at the start time for the current pass.
For example, collect pass for 12:00-12:30, at 12:00 collect another pass for another ride, then go on the first ride, then repeat.
Cuts waiting/queuing time, hope this makes sense.

don't get stuck on main street - use the paths at the side to get to the wild west and space mountain places, also there is a path from the left hand side to bring you up to near where the haunted house bit is.

If you're flying in to CDG take the train. Don't even consider the coach/shuttle.

Food is expensive & variety is limited in the parks, can be long queues too, if staying at a Park Hotel then liberate a load of food at breakfast to see you through lunch.

Fast passes as mentioned above.

We took a couple of bottles with us as & drank in our room as drinks are also very expensive (our kids were quite young too).

Take a small child with you and combine Smart Pass with Baby Switch to jump even more queues

Ask for tap water in the restaurants, they can't charge you for it. 7.50 for a beer in Planet Hollywood was one thing, but 6.90 for a litre of effing water, mental! All the restaurants in that Village thing are similarly priced, except McDonalds which is hidden away a bit.

Tell the kids to remember it well, take lots of photos, you'll likely not want to go back.

Try and get a ride in one of the cars down Main Street. It is a lot of fun. Stay for the fireworks at the end. If there is a few of you going get a space near the front early then some of you can wonder off and do others things whilst you wait.

Enjoy yourself, remember don't stress out about things and just go with the flow. We didn't tell my daughter that we were going. Her face when we arrived was amazing. That was worth the admission charge in itself. Also visit the Lego shop just outside the park.

Our family really enjoyed it and did the things we wanted, when we wanted. It was great. Will go back in a few years time.

I know the food is expensive but I am never ever going back to Planet Holywood there, that was just extracting the urine on quality and cost.

Good that you're going midweek, not weekend. Not sure how much difference that makes during school holidays, but at other times, it's night/day in terms of waiting times.

Go prepared for some waiting: that means on the one hand, just accepting it's par for the course, no point getting stressed by it and, on the other, if you have small kids, bring something along to keep them busy in the line. Most attractions put a smile on your face that makes you forget the waiting.

Go with the flow, set your mind to "child mode" and have a great time. Some end up up loathing it, (most) others love it. We go every year, so I guess you know which camp we're in...

too right-sweaty bus journey lasting forever vs superfast train that makes you seriously envious of french trains compared to uk
go to buffalo bills wild west show as great family fun with surprisingly nice food and drink as part of ticket price!
you will be ripped off but just remember you are there for the kids!

Cheers all. Some real useful advice there. Kinda looking forward to it. Kinda I have heard from some colleagues that the queuing etiquette from others can be a challenge and I'm
Not exactly a people person but I think the comment about it being for the kids is the most poignant. Message received. And understood. Will make the most of it from daddy's point of view.

Once again. Cheers for all the replies.

I'd also recommend the Wild West show.

You can make restaurant reservations over the phone before you depart, this s well worth doing. Walt's is worth trying, it's a little more expensive than some, but the food was disproportionately better.

We also booked tables in advance at the eateries we wanted in the day and evening if that option was open. The burgers in Annettes diner in the village I did like and the servers do you a little show every now and then.

Booking for the character breakfast and you can see kids faces light up, adults as well.

Grocery store at the train station good for stocking up on snacks and drinks.

If you're staying on site, don't forget you can make reservations for any of the hotel restaurants at guest services by the entrance of each park. Hunters Grill is a good buffet.

Check out DLP Guide for hints and tips. So many lovely little things to spot around the park, and spotting hidden Mickeys is a great game.

Go to the castle, and go upstairs. And also find the little path down under the castle to see what lies beneath.

The Motors Action show is well worth a watch. As spectacular as you imagine, but things like The Art of Disney Animation and Cinemaquie are worth a visit to sneak in some fun learning.

If you have ideas about theme parks in the UK, Disney is something else entirely. The theming, the immersion, how much the staff (sorry, cast memebers) do to make visits special.

And yes, the TGV from the airport. No doubt.

Not a place I want to visit again, but my top tips are:

Stock up at breakfast with food for lunch, the cheapest place by far to eat is McDonalds...sad I know. We spent roughtly 90 euros per day on food.

The french can seem super rude...its just the way they are...accept it and ignore.

If you have little ones who want to see the princesses, get there early! can easily waste 90 minutes waiting.

If your staying in a Disney hotel its usually easier and nicer to walk to the park than wait for the shuttle bus.

Best way to meet the characters is to book in at one of the restaurents (I cant remember the name - hopefully someone will help me out) its at the end of the village near the hot air balloon ride.

Very comfortable shoes (eg trainers). We walked miles and saw a few who thought flip flops would be a good idea as it was hot.....nope.

Sorry to hear that - it's never been our experience in over 10 visits to the park.

Correct - it's the Spanish! Grown women pushing my 2 and 4 year olds out of the way to meet the characters banghead

As above, walking is often much easier (and quicker) than waiting for overcrowded buses and being unable to board them.

Station grocery store is a great hint, it's next to the park entrance.
