the new GT4 and spec's, what do YOU want ?
Discussion
OK so the GT4 is getting a load of hype and every OPC seems to have a ton of letters of intent now. (8 and growing at Leicester)
what does it need to be to make you part with real cash ?
lets say it's 85k. all in with PCM etc
for me the main few are
the 3.8 engine, 380 BHp will be fine any more is a bonus
Bucket seats as standard
6 pot brakes would be ideal.
Ajustable LCA would be sweet.
choice of manual or for the PDK fans PDK-S
Passive damper set up, adjustment would be nice but that's not going to happen imo.
non starters for me (buying new, with these it would be a 2nd hand buy when they are cheaper)
a 3.4 engine with 350/60bhp
but now the GTS has x73 the GT4 does need to move the game on a bit.
cannot see it being a 4pot turbo it's to early for those engines.
And last what price do you want to pay ?

My OPC won't take a letter of intent, it's £5k down refundable and currently has 2 deposits.
Told it will be priced at £68k-£75k plus options.
Still haven't paid my £5k yet
very mean OPCTold it will be priced at £68k-£75k plus options.

you normally pay the deposit on conformation a car is real :-) which is still way before you can order and spec one.
just choose another OPC.

I would like the GT4 to be a rebadged GTS with little red fabric loops as door openers. Available only with PDK.
Lol! - you missed matching stitching options for belts and loops!Seriously - It needs to be proper..
CS option only - Harnesses and buckets (option for the fixed lightweight ones too)
Proper pared down interior. and NO options to make it fat.
3.8 Power
PDK-S
Titanium Exhaust
Pilot Cup2's
Aluminium/CF body panels
The danger in giving it 400+BHP and trimming its weight down is that its likely to keep up with the GT3 quite well which will upset a few people.

Yeah, but they can rub themselves happy knowing they're rising to the challenge of battling with the 911 handling dragon - yawn.400 hb dry sumped engine with dirty Akrapovic titanium exhaust
passive adjustable dampers
big brakes
upgraded aero with splitter, dive planes and proper wing
lightweight body panels
lightweight buckets with optional roll cage and six point harnesses
if it must have PDK then at least the GT3 one
optional: wider track, riviera blue paint job

utterly pointless thread - u think Porsche take any note to what's posted on PH forums ? yeah right.
it will be what it is - those of us with a deposit down will get a car. those without probably won't. going by past bitter experience. assuming it's a GT type car. if it's a marketing type exercise GTS with fabric door pulls my deposit will be refunded so who cares anyway.

If Porsche don't I know someone that's pulling together the info to build something in 2015 and the scribble on the fag packet isn't a million miles away from that...mechanical LSD,

Lol Singh you not allowed a titanium exhaust. There is no demand for it
I want brakes, steering, gearbox and wheels from the gt3.
Manual and passive suspension as options to stop moose and rance from moaning.
430hp 3.8 x51 engine so demon can say he is faster on track days than apolo with one leg on the dash in his rs 4.0.....eating a sandwich.... And argue about it for the next 3 years.
Would be willing to pay extra for the 918 buckets, probably a step too far but we did see them in the gt3 prototypes.
Will be interesting to see what happens regarding dry sump and oil pumps.
