Given up looking for a 6RS so started looking at 7s'. Remembered the black and orange at Amari so just went to get the phone number. It was at 89K and its now at 99K. WTF! Are these appreciating in price that quickly?

still might ring though but certainly not paying 99K for it.

My 6RS went last week. Some on here asked what the price was then never replied. Its all about paying the right price with these cars

I kind of like the orange interior on the other one.

I got offered one and the price wanted was astronomical. Well into 6 figures.

Sexual Chocolate - I can't help with the price I'm afraid, but the Amari car is my old one - I wrote a detailed post on it in the 997.1 RS forum if it helps. When I brought the car from JZM in Nov-12 I also had the choice for a completely standard one, but the mods in my opinion only enhance the car and I can assure you with the cup ratio gear box it has much punchier acceleration. Its very noticeable. Amari brought the car off me in cash so at the end of the day it is his car to do as he pleases. I am sure that in 5 years time these cars will be worth even more again so personally I'd just give him a call and if you like it make an offer at the level you think its worth. No harm and sure he's open to talking. At the prices the Gen IIs seem to be going for, I'm personally not surprised dealers are putting up the prices of the Gen Is

Sorry one further point. Everyone keeps complaining about the value of these cars going up but look at it relative to what brand new computer on wheels drive yourself brand new supercars cost and to me its a no brainer. You'll loose nothing on depreciation and yet you get an epic drivers car. Who's the bigger mug, the guy who spends 89k (or even 99k) on a non-depreciating proven drivers car or the guy who spends 200k+ on a 458, Huracan etc? I'd take the RS and a 100k in the back pocket every day and so would many others, hence why people have been and will continue to pay these prices for the cars. I wish I could have brought my flat at 2003 prices, but I couldn't. Its the same flat some lucky chap brought for half the price and yet there I was paying double what he paid for it...... Even if the RS drops 10k or so over the next 3 years, that's still cheap supercar motoring because you (practically) know its not going to blow up

Thanks for the further info. Might just stick in a cheeky bid and see what happens.

Hmm maybe toppy but sellers know there is little choice around. That of course could all change very quickly

Definitely toppy but someone did advise me to wait till the end of "track day" season then there might be more choice and hence prices will drop a touch.

There is currently 3 RS cars for sale all of them, including the green LHD car are 99K. Could get a 08 Superlegera for that.

Stunning : )

But.... Gen IIs are not worth 50-60k over a Gen I even if the mileage is low.

150k!!! Jesus. Missed out on a couple at 95k around March/April. Partly because I was unsure about selling CSL to fund the upgrade from 7.1 RS. Wish I had just bought one and kept the CSL now
