Really noisey sex in the middle of the day with all the windows open.
Which part do you find odd? rehab71 said:
Parking seems the general theme here.
I live in a very small village which doesn't have any parking restrictions and my house is in a row of 5 terraced cottages, we all have a gentlemans agreement that we don't park in front of each other's houses and it works perfectly well, however we've a neighbour a few doors down who had a large detached house with a double garage and a drive large enough for 3 cars, yet every few weeks he puts his two main cars on the road and leaves them there for no real reason. I can't understand why you would park on the road when you have a drive? I can only think he does it to annoy those of us who have to park on the road.
I'd never say anything as he's perfectly entitled to park there just seems odd to me!
The neighbour next to him is odd too. When we were having a BBQ last summer my mate had just got his kit car back on the road so naturally did a bit of coming and going while he took us out in it in turns. Queue weird neighbour getting her knickers in a twist because he'd parked outside her house and was going to call the police be cause we're 'boy racers', stupid bint!
I believe that parking is in the top three reasons that neighbours fall out, along with shared drives and boundary disputes.I live in a very small village which doesn't have any parking restrictions and my house is in a row of 5 terraced cottages, we all have a gentlemans agreement that we don't park in front of each other's houses and it works perfectly well, however we've a neighbour a few doors down who had a large detached house with a double garage and a drive large enough for 3 cars, yet every few weeks he puts his two main cars on the road and leaves them there for no real reason. We live in a typical Glasgow tenement, so no driveways, on street parking only. We're opposite a school with Zig Zags so you can't always get a space.
However 'Wishy washy car man' as we've called him likes to have his, his wives and daughters cars all lined up, facing the same way, in the same spots whenever he can. I've seen him run out the flat to move cars if someone leaves a space.
Once he's managed to do this, he then washes each car and hoovers them out. He does this every single day, no matter the weather without fail.

Our neighbours on one side have always been civil rather than friendly, but generally only initiate contact when they want something.
Now - weeks before we move out - they've made a great fanfare of inviting us round for coffee this morning.
My and my OH are convinced they'll be after something big. I'll report back!

They want to know if you're leaving your WiFi, which they have been stealing for years Now - weeks before we move out - they've made a great fanfare of inviting us round for coffee this morning.

Get him to say "locked" quite loudly as he completes the locking action...or another phrase that he will remember clearly saying when he starts to worry about whether he did it or not. Worked for my brother.
If I'm in a hurry and quickly ironed a shirt (for example) and am about to dash out I say "iron off" out loud as I switch the iron off. Prevents you getting 10 miles down the road and then thinking "sh*t did I turn the iron off?". Try it, it works!
I do this but it annoys my wife. She says it's one of a few autistic traits I exhibit. (She has in the past worked with autistic kids and reckons some off the 'odd' things I do like the above would get me diagnosed if I were a child today)If I'm in a hurry and quickly ironed a shirt (for example) and am about to dash out I say "iron off" out loud as I switch the iron off. If anyone wants to talk about gas turbines, car registration numbers, collecting car brochures, the Lockerbie tragedy, warships, helicopters, old TV adverts, etc I am your man. Maybe I'm an odd neighbour?

I'm probably the weird neighbour as all mine seem normal!
The irony is that you'll almost never have forgotten to turn the gas/iron/oven off, lock the door etc. it's just a task you're so familiar with that your brain economises and allows you to use your attention on other things whilst you're doing it. If you stored memories of everything you'd run out of room for the sake of pointless st. Clever really.
