Throttle body actuator

Mine's just gone and apparently they need to be replaced in pairs.

Is this right or am I being sold a dummy?

ETA: It's a C6 A6 3.0TDi.

It wasn't the Actuator, it was the manifold (unless that's the same thing). Possibly not a major failing even, now that I've read this thread

Needless to say, I'm now £1,344 lighter than I was two days ago.
