Hello there!
Please could someone help me with a bit of their advice?

I have a 2008 Impreza which I bought quite recently, where I bought it from the car had been stood for months in all the rain they had near south wales over the winter. So bits of it were quite rusty.

I replaced the brake discs, the pads had been done at the garage where I bought it from but are very cheap ( motoquip ).I lubricated the caliper slider pins etc with ceratec. No problems for a while until now which is a quite loud squeak as the wheel turns , if I Press the brake pedal very gently it stops and works normally , if I release the pedal it comes back. This is only when the brakes have warmed up. One of my slider pins looks like part of the rubber inside has come apart if this makes a difference ?

Any suggestions only its only from the front drivers side.

CHange brake fluid ? Change brake pads ?

My Slider Pin

It should be like this , would this cause the prob?
Thanks !

I suspect your slider is probably not the issue, are the pads free in the caliper?

Several times I have had to take a grinder/file to the edges of the metal backing plates before to make sure they are free to move within the caliper to solve exactly this issue.

Thank you very much for your suggestion , I will try this as soon as I am done with work and other duties ( looking after pregnant wife ! ) :-)

So should the pads just easily pop out because I don't think the exactly fall out....

Thanks again :-)

They should be free to move, but not slack enough to fall out.
