Any good places along the South Coast?
My brother and I both used Nuffield Accident Repair Centre in Poole. They were very reasonably priced and did a really good job. They rubbed down a lot of flaking paint from a terrible previous paint job done years ago by some unknown body shop. Then painted the front bumper, bonnet and wings and blended them in. It was a metallic silver BMW Z4 and I couldn't see the blend at all. It was a really very good job. He also painted my brother's Coral Blue VX220 and did a great job.
Ok, so they're not one of the big TVR specialists, but he's a very good paint sprayer and he doesn't quote over the odds.
Failing that, GT Paintworks in Lymington are supposed to be good, but I've never used them.

I don't mind someone not known in the TVR world as long as they are good. They need to be able to sort out the quirkiness of the TVR construction to take it apart and put it back together again! He also painted my brother's Coral Blue VX220 and did a great job.

The 'best' as far as reputation go is 'surface & design' over in Blackpool. All the work I've seen from them is better than the original factory job, which is slightly ironic given that they are the ex-factory painters and work out of the old TVR factory.
Certainly would suggest that they are the first you speak too.

Didn't have a problem with them doing one of my cars - not the TVR though...alex_gray255 said:
Been having a debate with another specialist recently about getting
TVR resprays/rebuilds "perfect" and you would be surprised about how
tricky it can be given that they are plastic and not metal cars.
You'd think that a TVR specialist would know how to prep and paint a car (unless they're not the specialist they claim to be). Sadly, my own experience is just the opposite with a TVR bodywork and paint specialist - and I don't mean concours either, just a decent standard where you cant see the repair from 5 feet away.TVR resprays/rebuilds "perfect" and you would be surprised about how
