I've got a gift card to use for a store that sells bot all I'm interested in, but I found some B&O Beoplay H6 headphones tucked away in their accessories page.

I've been fancying a new set of over ears for no particular reason - I've got B&W P3 and P5s which I like (though I find the P3s irritating on my ears after more than an hour).

Anyway, are the B&O ones any good? I listen to a wide range of music, like bass but also enjoy podcasts and spoken word stuff.

I've got 2 pairs of B&O Headphones. The Form 2 and A3. They are both brilliant but the Form 2 are much better. Your local B&O Place will let you try the H6 headphones.

Good luck.

I don't have a local B&O place. Probably just as well.

Seems they get favorable reviews, and all told they'd be costing me about £100. Suppose worst case scenario they end up on ebay. scratchchin

For 99% of the population they will be fine.

I've had 2 pairs of the earsets or whatever they're called nowadays. First pair still working after 10 years (needed a cable change after wear at about 5 years old) and another pair where cable gave in as well after 5 years. Got a pair of H3s from when they launched last year at the moment which are vastly superior as far as sound isolation is concerned. The H3's cable gave in early but got a new pair under warranty - while waiting until they had more stock of H3s in, I was loaned a pair of H6s which I used for a couple of weeks or so. They're very neutral/balanced sounding and could be argued as lacking in bass compared to the H3s but they produce sound 'as is' - very clean and warm though. Found them a little quiet, but sound isolation is surprisingly good so you don't need to crank up the volume. Incredibly comfortable and the materials/build quality top notch.

The limited edition Pepsi ones could be a nice buy. If you're really into your headphones, dealer said the audiophiles that are buying these are adding a headphone amp. Personally wouldn't spend the 300+ list price for them as they're too nice to wear everyday and out and about for me. Also at that money you've got your pick of Sennheisers and whatnot. What I do know is while there is a premium for the brand/build quality, I've had pairs of sennheisers and shures and they've all failed much sooner than my B&Os.
