Absolutely fantastic day guys ! Really enjoyed it despite the *issues* on route.
Special thanks to Nathan for stopping on puncture number 1 and helping out (I owe you a tube sir) and even more thanks to him for managing to find the most microscopic of stones protruding the tyre causing all the punctures !!
JT, as always mate, was a pleasure and thanks for helping with the other punctures too !
Next time can we have less hills please !

I wouldn't have attempted this sort of distance on my own so am well chuffed to have made it (and set a new top speed of 40.6mph even though I'm sure John will have beaten it by some margin ).
If any sort of rides are organised in the future please give me a shout
Nathan (Blue Planet-x)
:edit: John - this is the rear light I'm using however I didn't buy it from here: http://www.dartmoorcycles.co.uk/shop/electron-r100...

I'm thinking this Circuit Breaker would be a great annual tradition for a PH team ride, given it's a fairly central location and at Silverstone. Especially if it coincides with the Birkett Six Hour Relay again.Sorry to resurrect a thread - I've been away. I'm sure you're all gutted.
Was a great ride. I only met up with MikeES on the road due to the congestion getting into Silverstone. One thing that struck me was the number of casualties along the way. Don't think I've ever seen as many folk repairing punctures. The first one was just a few hundred metres out of the circuit. And it's the only sportive where I've ever seen folk getting off and walking. Was there actually a hill, like, anywhere...? A bit of a rise here and there, but blimey, it's blinkin' Northants not the Alps...
My brother and I retired to a pub in Silverstone village after finishing and watched the dregs come in. Bloody hell, we cyclists look like a load of twazzocks when veiwed from a pub bench.
Just sayin'

I think the Circuit Breaker will be an annual thing as its fairly central to most people and drags the SE contingent away from Surrey for the day
I hope it does. I couldn't make this one due to other stuff, but an annual get together of silly smiley jerseys sounds like a great idea. Only if there is good weather though

We need to sniff out a good spring PH sportive too. Anything come to mind?
or do the wales trip again that you all did last year?(I need Dragon Ride training!)
This will sort the men from the boys, the height gain is wrong on the route profile, 9,5k ft climbing over 104 miles.
I'm booking today for this years event. Anyone else in?
